Born in Netherlands, Sharmila is an established singer, songwriter, and performer whose music
blends pop and R&B with a distinctive voice, honest storytelling, and a powerful message.
Inspired by artists such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Madonna, and New Kids on the
Block, Sharmila has built a career defined not only by her vocals, but by the power of her pen.
In 2018, Sharmila opened for legendary boy band O-Town during their U.S. Reunion Tour,
bringing her music to audiences across America. She released her single Burning For You (Club
Mix) that same year, followed by Respect Your Body and her self-titled album Sharmila in 2019.
She also performed in New York and was named MTVROCK Artist of the Month in September
2019, further establishing her presence in the music scene.
Now entering a powerful new chapter, Sharmila returned with four singles released on August
28, 2026: Golden Heart, created in memory of her daughter Tanisha, alongside Right And
Wrong, Human Race, and No Music On Mars. Her latest work has also earned features in Lyrical
Weekly and Grammy Weekly.
